Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Anthon Methodist Church for Thomas C. Dicus, 81, a resident of Woodbury County for sixty-one years. He died Thursday at a Sioux City hospital after a week's illness. Rev. C.B. Wittstruck officiated at the services Saturday morning and burial was in the Oak Hill Cemetery under direction of Hudgel Funeral Home. He was born September 16, 1855, at Columbus, Ohio.

Survivors are seven daughters, Mrs. Mabel Lanegan of Lawton, Mrs. Eva Waugh and Mrs. Grace Fitzpatrick, both of Anthon, Mrs. Esther Spratt of Greene, Iowa, Mrs. Madge Scott and Mrs. Verna Coon, both of Sioux City, and Mrs. Effie Petersen of Hawthorne, California; two sons, Howard of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Cleland of Oto; two sisters, Mrs. Julia Roan of Sioux City and Mrs. Grace Pollock of Los Angeles, California, 49 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie, two daughters, Dora and Myrtle, two sons, Lewis and Lester.
