Mrs. Rhoades was born May 29, 1922, in Clarendon, the daughter of the late George A. and Cora Temple Wilbur. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Rhoades, whom she married on Jan. 28, 1941; four sons, James Rhoades, Warren, Dewey Rhoades and his wife Brenda, Kittanning, Paul Rhoades and his wife Evie, Sugar Grove, and Elmer Rhoades and his wife Candy, Warren; eight daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Sandra) Constable, Warren, Mrs. Robert (Roberta) VanOrd, Russell, Mrs. Mike (Sherri) Dexter, Warren, Mrs. Gene (Dora) Lauffenburger, Russell, Mrs. Doug (Chrissie) Chase, Pittsfield, Mrs. Al (Roxanne) Vanderpoel, Bradford, Mrs. Chuck (Laura) Belgarde, Fairfield, Iowa, and Mrs. Frank (Wendy) Suppa, Warren; 37 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Norman Rhoades, Sr.; seven sisters; six brothers; a grandson, Norman Rhoades, Jr.; and a daughter-in-law, Diane Rhoades.
