Mrs. Archer passed away Friday, July 7, at a Walla Walla hospital. She had been in ill health for some time. She was born December 4, 1876, in California the daughter of J. F. and Elnetta McPherson. Members of the family are two sons: Hesper of Walla Walla, Arden Sr. of Dayton; a half-brother, William Grooms, eight Grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Archer was a member of Alki chapter no. 25, OES: Rebekah Lodge in Waitsburg; Sunshine Club; Daughters of the Nile in Walla Walla; Circle No. 1 of the Methodist church, and the Pioneer Methodist church. Mrs. David Atkins was vocalist at the service with Mrs. Harold Moose as organist. Pall bearers were Richard Archer, Michael Archer, David Archer, James Archer, Ervin Ely and Edward Wilson.
