Mrs. Hazel Daugherty (Moomau) Via, 52, wife of David F. Via of Greenville, died Tuesday morning (Feb. 26, 1974) in King's Daughters Hospital.

Mrs. Via was born Sept. 26 1921 in Augusta County, a daughter of Charles and Ethel (Daugherty) Moomau. She was a member of Greenville United Methodist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband, are a son, Robert Via of Rt. 1, Raphine; three brothers, Wallace B. of Staunton, Mason H. of Richmond and Franklin D. Moomau of Verona; two sisters, Mrs. Roger Davis and Mrs. Lyle Houser, both of Staunton; two grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted two o'clock Thursday afternoon from Greenville United Methodist Church by the Rev. Harry C. Rickard. Burial will be in Augusta Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be William H. Ballew, James E. Williams Jr., Sidney M. Supple, Robert F. Shifflett Jr., Tansy Brown Jr., Bobby L. Bocock; J. A. McKay and Lionel Moomau.

The family will be at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Houser, 1902 First St., Staunton, and will receive friends at the Rosen Funeral Home, Middlebrook, from 7-8 o'clock tonight.

The body will be placed in the church an hour prior to services.
