Struck on the head by a falling tree, George G. Hansel, Rexburg bulldozer operator, died Monday, as a result of the accident which occurred in the Island Park county. According to the coroner's report, the bulldozer which Mr. Hansel was operating struck a rotted tree which fell towards the driver, fracturing his skull.
Fellow workers took him seven miles in a truck to the Stoddard sawmill camp and Dr. H.B. Rigby, Rexburg, who happened to be at his ranch in that vicinity, was summoned, but the worker died four hours after the accident.
Mr. Hansel is survived by his widow and two children, three and four years old.
