Purcell, OK -- Ralph Louis Feuerborn
Funeral services for Ralph Louis Feuerborn, 88, of Goldsby were held April 11, 2006 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with John Warren officiating. Interment was at Lexington Catholic Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Wadley's Funeral Service in Purcell.

Mr. Feuerborn died April 6, 2006 at Norman Regional Hospital.

He was born May 18, 1917 southwest of Purcell, the son of Albert Thomas and Agnes Hackett Feuerborn. At the age of 2, the family moved to a farm north of Lexington. He attended school at Alamo and Noble High School. In his young years he worked on the home farm and in highway construction.

Mr. Feuerborn married Leona Belle Perry of Goldsby Oct. 25, 1940.

On Jan. 17, 1942 he was drafted into the United States Army. He served three years in the Southwest Pacific, Australia, New Guinea and Good Enough Island. He received the rank of sergeant. After returning from the Pacific, he spent one year at the infantry school at Fort Benning, Ga.

After the war he returned home and started farming and raising cattle. He was later employed by the Purcell Post Office and retired after 17 years in 1982.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Leona; one son, Larry Ralph Feuerborn; four brothers, Clarence, Omar and twins, Hubert and Herbert and five sisters, Teresa Shepard, Rose Holmes, Louise Holmes, Alberta Meiser and Cecilia Feuerborn.

Survivors include one son, Tom Feuerborn and his wife, Cheryl, of Petaluma, Calif.; one sister, Ruth Lacaze of Rhome, Texas; one daughter-in-law, Jan Feuerborn of Goldsby; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were David Perry, Aaron Perry, Albert Lacaze, Webster Feuerborn, Ethan Feuerborn and Mike Lacaze Jr.
Honorary pallbearers were Pauline Chaussie, Grace Goldsby, Ken Wilke, Ruth Wilke, Jim Hanger, Jerry Meiser and Raymond Feuerborn
