OBITUARY:
Following a lengthy illness, David O. Beard, a resident of Flora the past several years and well known in the city, died at the Mamie Kennedy Nursing Home on South Center street last Thursday. The body was taken to the Jackson Funeral Home in Delphi where services were held Saturday afternoon at two o’clock, with Rev. Charles Looker officiating. Burial was made in the Delphi Masonic cemetery. Deceased was born in Clay township in February, 1874, making him 77 years of age at his demise. His wife died in 1939. He came to Flora from Indianapolis and had been residing at the nursing home the past eight months.
