Sarah's headstone is incorrect. It has her name as Read. She was born on 17 March 1821 not 1824. Sarah Ellen Riead Watson was the daughter of Hezekiah Wheeless and Nancy Rountree Wheeless. She married Abner Riead at Nashville, Washington County, Illinois on 25 July 1840. Abner died 8 May 1857, Sarah married William Watson on 1 March 1858 in Nashville, Washington County, Illinois. Sarah and William were separated and a divorce action was pending in Washington County at the time of her death. The date and place of William's death is unknown.
