Funeral Monday
Funeral for Georgia Adams Coppock, 84, of Greenwood, formerly of Columbus, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Garden City Church of Christ, with Virgil Clotfelter officiating. Calling will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Myers Funeral Service, Reed and Jewell Chapel on 25th Street and from 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the church. Entombment will be at Garland Brook Mausoleum.
Memorials may be made to Garden City Church of Christ, the Salvation Army or the Alzheimer's Association.
Mrs. Coppock died at 9:50 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 1998, at Community Hospital South at Indianapolis.
She was a sales representative and unit branch manager for Stanley Home Products for 45 years, retiring in 1994. She was a former board member of the Salvation Army in Columbus, volunteer for the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and was an avid bridge player.
She was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority and the Garden City Church of Christ, where she was active in various Bible studies and in Vacation Bible School.
Born in Bloomington Dec. 16, 1913, Mrs. Coppock was the daughter of George L. and Myrtle Prince Adams. She married Boyd D. Coppock in Bloomington Aug. 29, 1933. He died Dec. 8, 1969.
She is survived by a daughter, Jane A. Eaton of Greenwood; a son, Jay D. Coppock of Dorado, Puerto Rico; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Grace Porter.

Funeral for Georgia Adams Coppock, 84, of Greenwood, formerly of Columbus, was conducted Monday at Garden City Church of Christ with Virgil Clotfelter officiating. Cecile Ault was organist, and Dorri Clotfelter was soloist.
Entombment was at Garland Brook Mausoleum. Pallbearers were Jay Coppock Jr., John and Ken Coppock, David Eaton, Matt Crews and Jerry Jackson.
Mrs. Coppock died Thursday, Sept. 17, 1998, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis.
Arrangements were made by Myers Funeral Service, Reed and Jewell Chapel.
