Lonaconing-Dewey Burns, 60, former mayor of Lonaconing, died Saturday at Frostburg Community Hospital.
A native of West Virginia, he was a son of the late William H. and Lillian June (Plum) Burns.
Mr. Burns operated a drug store here.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Bobby Viagoo, Columbia, S.C., Miss Bonnie Sue Burns of Vermont; three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Taylor, Salt Lick, W. Va; Mrs. Mabel DeWitt, Kingwood, and Mrs. Goldie Bolan, Independence, W. Va.; five brothers, Russell Burns, Parsons; Virgil and John Burns, Rowlesburg; Chester Burns, Terra Alta, and Clarence Burns of Ohio.
The body is at the Eichhorn Funeral Home, where friends will be received today from 7 until 9 p.m.
