Mr Samuel Currier lives in the house at Lower Intervale where he was born ninety years ago. He has distinct memory of soldiers of the war of 1812, passing on their way to Portsmouth. He points out a large pine in the upper edge of his wood lot, which towers high above all the surrounding trees, grown from the seed, within his life time and he has within the last winter cut timber two feet in diameter, on ground which was a rye-field in his childhood. He says this season appears to be more like 1816 — the celebrated cold season — of any within his memory since: but is hopeful that this will not be a repetition of that. He is in good health and with unimpaired facilities. His wife, of some years his junior, has been ill, but is now improving, with prospect of full recovery. >The Plymouth Record, June 4, 1892, p7.
