Central Valley, Utah - Our beloved, Waldo Eugene Sandberg, age 86, died of cancer at his home in Central Valley, Utah on September 16, 1999.

He was born April 30, 1913 in Richfield, Utah, a son of Brigham James and Annie Josephine Crosby Sandberg, both deceased. He married Sylvia Ann Alvey on June 24, 1940 in Richfield, Utah. They were later divorced. He married Reta Mason Sharkey and they divorce. He married Katherine Eno Alexander Connally on Noveber 19, 1981 in Elko, Nevada. She died April 24, 1989. He married Flora Ann Fenn Baker on November 27, 1989 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Waldo worked at the Gypsum Plant in Sigurd for several years and then at Lockheed Aircraft in California for two years. He retired from working 30 years at Hill Air Force Base in Clearfield, Utah, as an aircraft sheet metal mechanic. He was a member of the L.D.S. Church.

Waldo is survived by his wife of Central Valley; children; Ann Marie Ruttenbur of Phoenix, Arizona; Steven Wayne Sandberg of Brigham City, Utah; Stanley Roy and Glenda Sandberg of Cocoa, Florida,; Leigh Myrle Bone Clark of Ogden,Utah; Christine S. Cavanaugh of Los Angeles, California; 19 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren, and three on the way. 14 step-children; Jessie Lorenzo Sharkey, Cathryn S. Larson, Peggy Lou Berry, Mildred Victor (Deceased), Ralph Baker, Randy Baker, Mike Baker, Byron Baker, Larry Dean Baker (Deceased), John Baker, Scott Baker, David Baker, Vicki Jean Mitchell and Sharon Marie Wolfe; and 52 step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters; Myrtle Sandberg Finan, and Florence Sandberg.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 20, 1999 at 2 p.m. in the Central Valley L.D.S. Ward Chapel in Annabella, Utah. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 260 N. 400 W. in Richfield, Sunday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the ward chapel in Annabella, Monday afternoon from 12:30 to 1:30 prior to the services. Burial with Military honors accorded by the VWF Sevier Post #5050 will be in the Richfield City Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
