STREATOR - Arthur J. Loebach, 90, of Streator, formerly of Leonore, died Friday,
Jan. 27, at St. Mary's Hospital, Streator, following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sts. Peter arid Paul Church,
Leonore, with the , Rev. Charles McCarthy officiating. Burial will be at the
Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Leonore. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m.
Sunday with a Scripture service at 6:30 p.m. at the Mueller Funeral Home,
Lostant, and again from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church.
Mr. Loebach was born Nov. 21, 1915, in Canada to Charles and Catherine
(Sondergrath) Loebach. He married Irene Dutko Feb. 8, 1945, at St. Stephen's
Church in Streator.
He was a director of the Leonore Phone Company, a director of the Leonore Grain
Co-op, secretary of the National Fanners Organization and a semipro baseball
player for 20 years. He was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Church of
Leonore, the Streator Knights of Columbus No. 790 and the Holy Name Society.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Barbara (Richard) Hass and Ruth
(Dominique) Blachon, both of Seattle; three sons, Arthur of Fairfield, Anthony
(Mary Beth) of Bloomington and Thomas (Sylvia) of Sumyvale, Calif.; and Dennis
(Melissa) Morsch, both of Sheridan; seven grandchildren; and a brother, Charles
(Eleanor) of Granville.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
