Lola Maude Gailey was the first child of Asa Lomax Gailey and Mary L. Murray. Asa was from Georgia originally but ended up in the Chicago area after being a Civil War captive. He fathered three children before the war in Texas with Permelia Jane Tuder and never returned to them.

Lola was married to George B. Chace. The two had one daughter, Alice M. Chace who married James Smith Pardee. She had three known grandchildren, Jean, Willis, and Emory Pardee.

Lola had one full brother, Lester E. Gailey, who had a son named Arthur Lester Gailey. Lola had three half siblings, Jane Jemima "Gailey" Harding, John William Gailey, and Asa Nelson Gailey, all three of Eastland County, Texas.

Lola was laid to rest on January 12, 1916 at 2PM in the Forest Home Cemetery.
