Born Whitleysburg, DE. Moved to Caswell Co, NC and fought in NC Militia During Revolution. Was in Battle at Camden. Moved to SC after war, and lived near Tyger Baptist Church, Tygerville, SC. He went to Tyger Baptist Church starting in about 1801. He later was likely buried at Mush Creek Baptist Church, according to some sources.One of the last living Patriot Soldiers in Upper Greenville County. My GGGGG Grandfather. There are Evidences that He knew the LORD Jesus as his Savior! Lived at the base of Packs Mountain. Not known for sure he is buried at Mush Creek but Family tradition suggests it may be so. No stone exists here.
