3 Jun 2009: Bill J. Henry, 81, of Jonestown died Monday, June 1, 2009 at his home. Born October 20, 1927 in Coleman, Texas, he was a son of the late Lloyd C. and Vera (Mullins) Henry and was also preceded in death by a son Billy Joe Henry. Retired from the United States Treasury Department; he was employed at Wal-Mart for 15 years and a horse trainer at Penn National Race Course for 37 years. He was a Merchant Marine veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Jorene (Forbes) Henry; daughter, Beverly H. Zink of Jonestown; son, Floyd L., husband of Anna Henry of Jonestown; sister, Martha Ann Jones of Ardmore, Oklahoma; brother Clark Henry of Salem, Ohio; grandchildren, Lee Speakmon, Billy Joe Henry, Brooke Henry and Storm Vardzik; great grandchildren, Rylee Speakmon and Breanna Vardzik. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 6, 2009 at St. John's United Methodist Church, 165 Firehouse Road, Grantville preceded by a viewing from 1:00 PM.
