George Washington Henderson

George Washington Henderson was born July 31, 1876 near Avery, MO and departed this life Sept. 30, 1950 at Wheatland, MO at the age of 74 years, 1 month and 29 days.

He was united in marriage to Malissa E Breshears on August 5, 1897 and to this union were born nine children, Leslie W Henderson, Fulton, MO; Raymond E Henderson, Julius E (Bud) Henderson, William Otis Henderson, George Orvis Henderson of Kansas City; Roy G Henderson of Higginsville; Oral N Henderson, Springfield; Mamie M Beyer and Fratie E Breshears, Avery also 21 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren all of whom survive.

He professed faith in Christ in the summer of 1893 at the age of 17 years and united with Breshears Valley Baptist Church at Avery.

He received a call to the ministry and was ordained to preach the gospel in February of 1910.
