The funeral for Erna Frank, Wishek, ND will be Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 2:00 PM at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wishek, ND. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be at the St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery, Wishek, ND.
Erna Raile daughter of Jacob and Christina (Martel) Raile was born October 2, 1928 in Wishek, ND. She grew up and attended school in Wishek and graduated from Wishek High School. After high school she attended St. Alexius Nursing School in Bismarck, ND. Erna married John E. Frank June 3, 1949 in Ortonville, MN. They made their home in Wishek, ND where she worked as a nurse at the Wishek Community Hospital and later worked as the Purchasing Agent for the hospital. Erna moved to Grand Forks, ND in 2005. Erna was very proud of her children and enjoyed having the grandchildren and great-grandchildren around her. She will be remembered as a very kind and loving person and for her compassion toward others. Erna loved flowers, the outdoors and Minnesota Twins baseball. She enjoyed watching the Fighting Sioux play hockey, football and basketball. Erna was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church and active in the affairs of the church.
Erna died peacefully on Monday, April 2, 2012 at Valley Elder Care, Grand Forks, ND. She was 83 years old.
