Edna A. Okerlund, 77, Jamestown, died Monday, June 3, 2002, in Jamestown Hospital.

Edna Raile was born Dec. 16, 1924, in Wishek, N.D., where she grew up and graduated from high school. She attended Dakota Business College, Fargo. She worked for Veterans Affairs in Fargo and later for the Bank of North Dakota. On Dec. 9, 1944, she married Arthur L. Okerlund in Fargo. They lived in Detroit and later moved to Wishek. They moved to Ellendale, N.D., in 1949. They moved to Kulm, N.D., in 1952. She worked for the Kulm Messenger and as office manager for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for 20 years. They moved to Jamestown in 1993. He died in 2000.

She is survived by three sons, Leon (Florine), Jamestown, Dick (Cathy), Bismarck, N.D., Tim (Connie), Dickinson, N.D.; a daughter, Cheryl (Gail) Zimmerman, Colorado Springs, Colo.; two brothers, Alvin, Wishek, Gideon (Lucille), Bismarck; two sisters, Linda (Floyd) Weisser, Bismarck, Erna Frank, Wishek; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Wednesday from 1-9, with a prayer service at 8, in Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Funeral: Thursday at 10:30 in Concordia Lutheran Church, Jamestown.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown.
