J. A. Barnes (sic J. S. Barnes), 65, pioneer Pottawatomie county resident, who died Tuesday morning at 2:15 o'clock at his home, five and one half miles south of McLoud, will be buried at the Dale cemetery Wednesday afternoon. Services will be held at the family home at 2 o'clock Wednesday with Rev. H. A. Burge, pastor of the First Baptist Church at Chandler officiating. Two sons, Joe Barnes of Pasadena, California, (stepson) Willie Sands of Colorado Springs, Colorado; four daughters, Mrs. Edna Hall of Los Angeles, California, Mrs. R. L. Bledsoe of Los Angeles, Mrs. L. E. Kline of Oklahoma City and Mrs. Robert C. Rutherford of Shawnee; a niece, Miss Juanita Barnes of McLoud; three brothers, three sisters and nine grandchildren survive him.
