Flossie Maye Compton, 87, of Hope died at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, 1999, at Miller's Merry Manor.
She was a homemaker and member of Seventh-day Adventist Church, where she was an active worker and leader at the church's community service center.
Funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Seventh-day Adventist Church, with Daryl Crane officiating. Calling will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Norman Funeral Home at Hope. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Born Oct. 21, 1911, she was the daughter of Frank and Effie Yeley Trotter. She married Harold Compton June 15, 1933. He died Oct. 31, 1976.
Survivors include several cousins.
