Mrs. Anna M. Breitenbach, daughter of the late William Finder and his late wife, Dina Strathegier Finder, was born January 19, 1866, and passed away after an illness of about four months at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, June 5, 1946. Death occurred at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Breitenbach, with whom she had resided the past fifteen years. She had reached the age of 80 years, 4 months and 18 days at the time of her death.

Mrs. Breitenbach was baptized at St. John's Church, Gildehaus, by the Rev. Ed Vattmann on March 5, 1866, and was confirmed at the same church. She as married to John Breitenbach in 1883 at St. Mary's Church, Moselle. Fourteen children were born to this marriage, six of whom preceded their mother in death. Mr. Breitenbach died in May, 29 years ago.

Mrs. Breitenbach was a member of St. Mary's Church, Moselle, and also of the Married Ladies Sodality of that church. She was a kind and loving mother, grandmother, sister, and great-grandmother and a loyal friend.

Surviving her departure are: 4 daughters, Mrs. Mary Espowe and Mrs. Elizabeth Unnerstall, Robertsville, and Mrs. Bernadine Bolte and Mrs. Catherine Hanneken, St. Louis; 4 sons, Fred of Robertsville, Ben of Gildehaus, John of Allenton, and Edward of Kirkwood; 2 daughters-in-law, Mrs. Fred Breitenbach and Mrs. Ben Breitenbach; 4 sons-in-law, Frank Espowe, Henry Unnerstall, August Bolte and John Hanneken; a brother, Henry Finder, Robertsville; 2 sisters, Mrs. Edward Frick, Union, and Mrs. Margaret Massman, Treloar; 31 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

The deceased lay in state at the Kitchell Funeral Home in St. Clair from Thursday to 3 p.m. Friday, when she as taken to the home of her son, Fred Breitenbach.

Funeral services ere conducted at 9:00 Saturday morning, June 8, 1946, at St. Mary's Church, with the Rev. J. F. Schutzbach officiating. Burial as made in St. Mary's cemetery. Mrs. Breitenbach's twelve grandsons served as pall bearers.
