Ernest Clyde Cecil, 45, of Church Street, Dublin, died Thursday morning in a Roanoke hospital following a brief illness. Born in Pulaski County in 1913, Mr. Cecil is survived by his wife, Mrs. Thelma B. Cecil; one son, Ernest Clyde Cecil Jr.; his parents, Mr. & Mrs. John T. Cecil; one brother, William Lee Cecil; two sisters, Miss Hazel Cecil and Mrs. A.R. Keister, all of Dublin. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Dublin Methodist Church with the Rev. I.H. Homer officiating. Interment will follow in the Dublin cemetery. Henry Clay Lodge No. 280, A.F. & A.M. will be in charge of the graveside services. The body will remain at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons funeral home until one hour before service when it will be taken to the church to lie in state.
