R. L. WHITE
A short funeral service was held in Hixson Brothers Funeral Chapel Thursday at 2 pm for Robert L. White, 78, who died Wednesday at 906 Trenton Street, West Monroe. Following the service conducted by Jaroy Weber, another service was held in the New Hope Church near Ruston at 3 pm and interment was in the church cemetery.
Mr. White has been a resident of West Monroe for 20 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in West Monroe and of the Men's Bible Class. Pallbearers were member of the Bible class.
Mr. White is survived by four sons:
Rupert White of St. Louis, Missouri
Mack White of St. Louis, Missouri
Nelson H. White of Mexico, Missouri
John M. White of West Monroe
Two daughters:
Mrs. Everette Barringer of Long Beach, California
Mrs. Pat Whelen of San Pedro, California
A brother:
W. M. White of Ruston
