Son of James Weatherman and Lucy Ann Mattox Pitts Weatherman.

Thomas was known as Allen Weatherman.

He enlisted with the Union Army in Kansas during the Civil War. He was in the Cavalry in Company H, 1st Battalion, 9th Regiment.

The death records of the Iola City Hall (Iola, Allen Co., KS) list Allen's cause of death as "drank lye".

Iola Daily Register, Aug 25, 1922:
Mr T.A. Weatherman died at his home, 713 North Street, last night at 9 o'clock after a several week's illness. The funeral arrangements will not be made until the relatives arrive.

The funeral services for Mr T.A. Weatherman, who passed away at his home, 713 North Street Thursday night at 9 o'clock, will be held from the First Christian Church at 2 o'clock tomorrow with Rev Metcalf of Colony officiating. Burial will be made in the Iola Cemetery.
