Mrs. Gibbs was born in Sullivan County, Indiana, November 14, 1854, a daughter of James and Lucy Pitts Weatherman. She came to Utah in 1880 and was marrried to Mathew Gibbs in 1886 at Murray. She lived at Murray until four years ago, when she went to live with her son at Elsinore.
Surviving are two sons, James Gibbs of Elsinore and Thomas Gibbs of Long Beach, Calif.; two daughters Mrs. Lucy Edwards of Long Beach and Mrs. Bertha Delaney of Oakland, California; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
