Mamie Leona Henson, daughter of William and Mary Jane Lynch was born near Monterey, Iowa in August 1881 and passed away March 6, 1974 at McCord Manor at Albia, Ia.
Mrs. Henson grew up in the Monterey Vicinity and attended school there. On Sept. 13, 1897 she was united in marriage to James M. (Bud) Henson at Bloomfield, Iowa, by the Rev.
Mose Downing. Mr Henson passed away Nov. 20, 1957.
She was the last of her immediate family, and would have been 93 years of age this Aug. 5th.'She was also a news correspondent for the Moulton Tribune for many years. A sincere Christian, she was a devoted member of the Coatsville Baptist Church, a good friend and neighbor to all who knew her.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; three half brothers, John Lynch, Dr. George Lynch, and Joel Starr; and three half sisters: Mrs. J.S. Horn; Mrs. Rose Horn and Mrs. Ambrose Horn.
Surviving are two cousins: Otis Horn of Moulton and Anita Telford of Phoenix, Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on March 8, 1974 at 1:30 PM in the Holiness Church at Coatsville, Mo., with Reuben Lowry officiating.
Music was by Mr. and Mrs. Paul Gene Shively. Pall bearers
were Harold Winans, Bob Spurgeon, Carl Beeler, Elmer Kerns,
Otis Horn and Johnny Kerns.
Burial was beside her husband in Coatsville cemetery.
