Sidney Bellamy, 79, St. Augustine, died July 28, 2001, in Flagler Hospital. He was born in Picolata, and he was a lifelong resident of St. Johns County. He was a member of the United Pentecostal Holiness Mission.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul AME Church, with Elder Sinclair Jenkins and the Rev. Oliver Simmons, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel of Chase and Son Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m., Friday, and at the church from 1 p.m. Saturday until the hour of services.
Survivors include a son, Sidney Jr., Orange Park; daughters, Lula Manning, Geraldine McGlocking, St. Augustine, Lilly Mae Farmer, Georgia Brown, Jacksonville; a sister, Ruth Bellamy, Cleveland, Ohio; 30 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and other relatives.
