She was a daughter of George M. Haden & Ettye Standfield. She had two brothers (twins) and one Sister Anita whom are buried in the same cemetery.

Minnette Miller, 85, passed away on August 15, 2011, in Wharton, Texas. Minnette was a residence of Texas City, Texas for 65 years, where she was very active in her church and taught Sunday school at First Baptist Church of Texas City. She enjoyed sewing and cooking extremely delicious meals for her family. Minnette is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years James Miller. She is survived by her daughter Elanda Calhoun and husband Garland of East Bernard, Texas; son Larry Miller and wife Tracey of Hendersonville, Tennessee; grandchildren Elizabeth, Hanna, Chris and Lisa. She will be missed by all whose life she touched. The family will be accepting guests at Forest Park East Funeral Home on Friday, August 19, 2011, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel at Forest Park East on Saturday, August 20, 2011, at 12:30 p.m. Forest Park East Funeral Home
