Obituary in The Shreveport Times January 5, 1971:

COUSHATTA - Mrs. Latha Long, 93, died Sunday. Funeral services will be held Tuesday in Harvey Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Clyde O. Cannon officiating. Burial will follow in Thomas-Wren Cemetery under the direction of Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home.

She is survived by eight daughters, Mrs. Avis Cannon, Mrs. Cleo Upshaw, Mrs. Eula Price, Mrs. Cecile Walker, Mrs. Ola Loftin, Mrs. Lizzie Loftin, and Mrs. Norma Harville, all of Coushatta, and Mrs. Velton Price of Jamestown; one son, William Long of Coushatta; three sisters, Mrs. Maggie Upshaw of Coushatta, Mrs. Belva Corley of Shreveport, and Mrs. Idahlia Bears of San Antonio, Tex.; one brother, Albert Breedlove of Mt. Enterprise, Tex.; 42 grandchildren, 117 great-grandchildren, and 50 great-great-grandchildren.
