Mrs. Maria DeTurck, widow of Josiah DeTurck, Exeter township, about three and a half miles below Reading, was found dead in the kitchen of her residence about 6:30 o'clock yesterday morning. Her health had been failing for several years, and about five weeks ago she received a stroke of apoplexy. It is supposed that she received another stroke soon after she arose yesterday morning, which proved fatal. She was in the 64th year of her age, and her husband died twenty-two years ago. She was a daughter of the late Jacob Dick, of Cumru township, a sister of Amos Dick, Ninth and Court streets, and the mother of Mrs. E. O. Immel and Mrs. Albert Kramer, this city; Mrs. James Bechtel, Bechtelsville; Jonas and Alvin DeTurck, Exeter; Isaac and Franklin DeTurck, Reading.
