Oval was a resident of Ava for the past 12 years, moving from the Mt. Tabor area. On Nov. 16, 1930, Oval and Ted Jenkins were united in marriage in Hartville. Oval was a Christian and she enjoyed quilting and traveling, and cooking for the family.
Oval was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; three sisters; her husband; and three children, Verlin Jenkins, Teddy Jenkins and an infant daughter.
She is survived by a daughter, Lula Mae Bloomer, Ava; daughter-in-law, Betty Jenkins, Ava; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 31 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 4, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Rev. Tom Johnson officiating. Interment was in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
