The son of Ora "Pete" Clements and Sarah Roller Clements.
He married Oma Phillips June 22, 1922 in Douglas Co. Mo. by Justice of the Peace Newt Barnes. Oma's brother Luther Phillips was a witness and Newt's wife Dangie was the other witness.
He was a farmer , part time carpenter , a wonderful Father and Grandpa . He learned his trade of laying block and bricks on the WPA. He helped do the brick work on the Douglas County Court House and the Mt. Tabor Church. He helped build several Grade A block milk barns in the 1950's.
When he was born his parents named him William but his uncle Sherman Roller started calling him John when he was a boy and the name stuck.
He was the father of six children.
