She was the 1974 recipient of the Copley First Citizen Award. Life member of the YWCA and the NAACP, member of the League of Women Voters, American Assoc. of University Women and the Music Club and active in the Smith College Alumni Association.
She was awarded the Community Service Award from the Springfield Branch of the NAACP in 1974. Named the 1967 Outstanding Senior Citizen by the Sangamon County Senior Citizen Commission for more than 25 years of service to senior citizens.
Survived by sister Mrs. Benjamin P. Thomas and brother Dr. Paul G. Kreider.
Memorial services at First Christian Church. Her body has been donated to medical science.
