OBITUARY: Appleton (WI) Post Crescent, Apr 20, 2005, Page C-4, Col. 1: "Concordia Dobberstein, New London, age 98, loving mother, loving grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on April 18, 2005, at New London Family Medical Center. Concordia was born on November 25, 1906, daughter of the late Albert and Matilda (Winkler) Drews. On August 14, 1929, she was united in marriage to Armand Dobberstein in Winchester. He preceded her in death in 1994. She was a member of Emanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in New London.
"Concordia is survived by two daughters, three sons, two sisters: Norma Aurin, Tulsa, Oklahoma and Elanor Mueller of Hartford. She is further survived by twenty-six grandchildren, forty-two great grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Velda Drews, Neenah; Ruby Dobberstein, Hortonville; a brother-in-law: Hugo (Evelyn) Dobberstein, Appleton; a daughter-in-law, New London; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
"She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son Wayne; three daughters: Valdine, Carol and Joanne, two sisters and six brothers and a son-in-law Eric Melso.
"Funeral services for concordia will be Thursday, April 21, 2005, at 11:30 a.m. at Emanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in New London with Rev. William Favorite officiating. Burial will be in the Floral Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established."
