Covington "Scotty" Burkeen, 96, of Memphis, passed away, May 24, 2009 at Landmark Nursing Home, in Horn Lake, MS. Covington was a retired restaurant owner in Memphis, TN. She was a member of Grace St. Luke Episcopal Church. Mrs. Burkeen was preceded in death by her son, Baxter Turnage. She leaves her daughter, Betty Raffanti; two sons, Mark and Bill Turnage; her daughter-in-law Ann Turnage, all of Memphis. She also leaves two brothers, Jack and Jim Scott; and her sisters- in-law Pat and Betty Scott, eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. The visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 27 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 27 also at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
