EARL SHERRILL –

Earl Sherrill, 58, operator of Sherrill Rest Home for a number of years, died last night at 9:00 at his residence on Decatur 1.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bessie Lee Sherrill; four daughters, Mrs. Charles W. Greenley, Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Louis L. Tuck, Birmingham; Mrs. Charles W. Glenn, Florence; and Mrs. Walter E. Harris, Decatur; one son, Sgt. Earl H. Sherrill Jr, Killeen, Texas; one brother, William Sherrill, Decatur; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Terry, Decatur; and Mrs. Clyde Terry, Decatur; and six grandchildren.

The body will remain at Brown Funeral Home until 1 p.m. Sunday, at which time it will be taken to Trinity Baptist Church where it will lie in state from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Services are to begin at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jasper Kelley and Rev. W.W. Coffey, officiating. Burial will follow in City Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be John Lile, Louie Glenn, Hurley Terry, Bob Ferguson, Garth Kimbrel, and Rice Bradford.
