Pauline Baldwin was born on June 6, 1914 and passed away, Thursday February 4, 2010 at Hospice of East Texas Homeplace.
She was born in Lindale to Walter Brown and Lucinda James Brown who preceded her in death. She married Shirley Thomas Baldwin in May of 1929 in Lindale. They moved to Tyler in 1942 and spent 50 years together before his death in 1979. She was also preceded in death by a brother Walter "Bud" Brown, two sisters Mary Lee Alvey and Annie Belle Vickers. Pauline retired from Brookshire Grocery Company at the age of 78. She loved her time with the company and made lasting friendships with some of her co-workers at the main office. She remained friends with many of them until the time of her death.
She was a woman of faith, loved her Lord and her family and was a wonderful role model for her children and grandchildren and blessed to have spent quality time with each of them. She was a long time member of Southern Oaks Baptist Church in Tyler.
Mrs. Baldwin is survived by two sons, Paul (Martha) Baldwin, Ross (Marilyn) Baldwin, two daughters; Martha (Les) Sulser and Peggy McFarland all of Tyler. She is also survived by 12 Grandchildren; Mike Baldwin of Des Plaines, IL., Kelly Baldwin of Pasadena, Darren Baldwin of Richmond, VA., Marianne Hays of Tyler, Dan Sulser of Denison, Karen Harris of Burleson, Toni Wright of Lindale, Richard McFarland of Marshall, Brad McFarland of Hideaway Lake, April Lindskog and Carrie Baldwin both of Tyler and Holli Boulware of Alabama. 27 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great Great Grandchildren and a niece and
several nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Elzie Johnson officiating.A private graveside will follow. Grandsons and grandsons-in-law will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Friday, 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family request that memorial donations be made to Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, Texas 75701, or charity of your choice.
