John was born to Francis Naderhoff and Rebecca Heidenreich. In 1873, at age seventeen, John moved to Nebraska with his mother and step father Reverand Henry Klockemeyer. He wed Catherine "Kea" Busboom on May 8, 1879, in Lancaster County, Nebraska. They had seven children:

3) August Aultman on Jan 31, 1885
4) Franz on Jun 16, 1887
5) Minnie on Feb 10, 1889
6) Etta Renska Ann on Mar 5, 1891
7) Louis Johann on Dec 24, 1894
Wife Catherine was born on July 20, 1859 in Germany and died on October 28, 1896. She is buried next to John.
