Frank H. Meissner was born in Millerville Township, Douglas county on October 5, 1891, the son of Frederick and Caroline Meissner. He was baptized and confirmed in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Millerville Township. Frank made his residence on the home farm until moving to Alexandria Township in 1943. He was a member of the Trinity Congregation until joining Zion Lutheran Church in Alexandria. For the past year he has been a resident of Bethany Home in Alexandria.
Frank passed away at the Douglas County Hospital, after a lingering illness on March 20, 1970, at the age of 78 years. He is survived by three sisters: Miss Amelia Meissner, Mrs. Elizabeth Zastrow and Miss Elfa Meissner of Alexandria, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Albert and Charley.
Funeral services were held March 24, 1970 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria, the Rev. K. K. Hill officiating. Interment was at Kinkead Cemetery, Alexandria. Pallbearers were Gust Nelson, Edgar Johnson, Clarence Pearce, Art Lindahl, Erwin Meissner and Clarence Meissner.
