Mr. Mobley was Baptist by faith and a member of Girard Baptist Church in Phenix City, Ala. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving his country in the United States Air Force as a staff sergeant with 14 years of service. He worked as Chief Deputy with the Russell County Sheriff's Department in Phenix City, having worked in law enforcement for over 20 years. He enjoyed spending time with all of his family, especially his sister-in-laws.
Mr. Mobley was preceded in death by his father and mother, David C. Mobley and Minnie Mobley of Hinesville; brothers, Frank Wade Mobley of Savannah, Ga., and Royce Mobley of Choctaw Beach, Fla.; and sister, Wanda Reed of Orange Springs, Fla.
Mr. Mobley is survived by his loving wife, Littie Mobley of DeFuniak Springs; daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Donald Herrington of Phenix City; son, William Mobley of Choctaw Beach; stepdaughter, Kelly Clark of DeFuniak Springs; stepson and daughter-in-law, Jason and Breezy Adkinson of DeFuniak Springs; two sisters, Betty Jerrell Atkins of Winston Salem, N.C., and Gale and husband Bob Hesser of Herndon, Va.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lottie and David Johnson of DeFuniak Springs, Grady and Carolyn Brown of Eucheeanna, Ruben Brown of DeFuniak Springs, Faye Thomason of Freeport, Fla., Becky and Leslie Miller of Freeport, Evelyn Loquercio of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Thelma and Phelom McGouh of Wetumpka, Ala., and Dorothy Brown of Eucheeanna; seven grandchildren, Dave and April Mobley, Michelle Mobley, Mazy Mobley, Mathew and Karen Herrington all of Phenix City, Hunter Adkinson, Megan Adkinson and Cody Melvin all of DeFuniak Springs; five great-grandchildren, Madison and Mason Herrington and Ethan, Kayden and McKenzie of Phenix City.
