Mrs. Denaro was born, raised and educated in Somerville. She graduated from Boston University and Wheelock College in Boston. She was an elementary school teacher in Somerville, retiring in the mid 1980s. She was a longtime resident of Somerville, moving to Plymouth after retirement and then to Chatham in 1989.

Mrs. Denaro was an avid music lover, played the piano, and enjoyed arts and crafts. She helped with the children's music program at Holy Redeemer Church in Chatham where she was a communicant. She loved life, laughter and good times.

She is survived by two daughters, Leslie Prizer of Brookline and Janice Alex of Chatham; her sister, Madelyn Phillips of Plymouth; two grandchildren; one niece and two nephews.

Services and burial will be private.
