1st Viscount Sherbrooke PC. British and Australian statesman who is remembered for his work in education policy, his opposition to electoral reform and his contribution to modern Company Law. The Division of Lowe, an Australian electoral division located in Sydney, is named after him. He was educated at Winchester and University College, Oxford, where he took a first class in classics and a second in mathematics.
