My little one that I miscarried three months into my pregnancy.

We do not know if you were a little boy or a little girl.

You were due the first week of May 1989.

Third much wanted child of Chris & Dennis.

Your older brother ("Henrie") & sister ("Charlie"), nicknamed you "Sammie"

Your younger sister ("Freddie"), was told about you, by your siblings.

If you had been a son you would have been called
Wilson Brian Dennis Carl.
If you had been a daughter, your name would have been
Zulika Mary Rose.

So sorry that its taken me so long to write your memorial, but I think about you all the time.

Rest in peace little angel til we meet again.
Safe in the arms of your Nannie and Gang-gang

For Sammie

We are connected, my child and I
by an invisible cord, not seen by the eye...
It's not like the cord that connects us 'till birth
this cord can't be seen by any on earth
This cord does its work, right from the start
It binds us together, attached to my heart
I know that it's there, though no one can see
the invisible cord from my child to me

The strength of this cord is hard to describe
It can't be destroyed,
it can't be denied
It's stronger than any cord man could create
It withstands the test
can hold any weight
And though you are gone
though you are not here with me

This cord is still there
but no one can see
It pulls at my heart
I am bruised, I am sore
But this cord is my lifeline as never before.
I am thankful that God connects us this way
A mother and child
death can't take it away!

The world may never notice
If a snowdrop never blooms
Or even pause to wonder
If the petals fall too soon,
But every life that ever forms,
Or ever comes to be,
Touches the world in some way
For all eternity.

The little one we longed for
Was swiftly here and gone
But the love that was then planted
Is a light that still shines on,
And though our arms are empty,
Our hearts know what to do,
Every beating of our hearts
Says that we love you.

Some say you are the wind,
Some say you fly at night,
But I know the truth,
God holds onto you real tight.

Some say your in the water,
Some say your in the sun,
But I know where you are,
You are safe my little one.

Some say you are a butterfly,
Some say you are our peace,
But I know you are just resting,
You wait from death to be released.

I know one day you'll read this,
Maybe understand my pain,
See I want you back insde me,
So I can do my job again.

I believe God will do this for us,
Join us back together we'll be,
Then you'll be my butterfly,
As you grow, just wait and see.

Then together we will look,
Out at the mountains and the trees,
You'll hold my hand and whisper,
Mum that's where I've always been.

You'll mean you were my spirit,
Your what kept me going and strong,
You'll mean you were the reason,
Why this life will go on.

Life is a fragile thing
And it can change within an instant
Nothing is safe from the effects of change
No person or possession we're given
The only things we can hold forever
Are the memories in our hearts
The loves we share upon this earth
Before it comes our time to part
So choose a pathway that brings you joy
Take time for quiet moments each day
Appreciate the challenges that strengthen your soul
And the blessings God sends your way
Don't let your heart be ruled by anger
It's just not worth the stress
For the tumult will only expand in your heart
And crowd out happiness
Live each day with wonder and gratitude
For the beauty that surrounds you
And share your abundance generously
It'll ensure future blessings will surround you
Meekly accept that life's journey will include
Unexpected, soul-wrenching heartaches
That will bruise your soul and alter the course
You always imagined your life would take
And when that happens you'll have the choice
To embrace hope or hopelessness
You can't avoid grief, but you can refuse to accept
A lonely future of bitterness
So choose to be grateful for each moment
With the loved ones you've been given.
