Bobby Ray Hurtt, 54, of West, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2009, in Waco. A rosary will be recited 6 p.m. Thursday at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours. Visitation to follow until 8 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, at St. Martin's Catholic Church with Msgr. Isidore Rozycki as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Martin's Cemetery.

Bobby was born in West, Texas, to Starlin and Nancy (Webb) Hurtt. On July 8, 1972, he was united in marriage to Mary Weinberger in Tours. He attended West Schools. Bobby worked as a plumber and pipe fitter for the Local Unions #669 and #529 for the past 35 years. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bellmead. Bobby enjoyed fishing, camping, water skiing, working on his Camaro, watching Nascar racing, Harley motorcycles. He especially loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father; and his father-in-law, Raymond Weinberger.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 36 years, Mary Hurtt, of Waco; son, Derrick Hurtt and wife, Kimberly, of West; daughter, Shelly Stevens and husband, Donnie, of Waco; grandchildren, Hayley Stevens, Hayden Stevens, Khloey Hurtt, and Kinley Hurtt; his mother, Nancy Hurtt, of West; sister, Charlotte Klaus and husband, Eddie, of West; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
