Charlotte Ann Klaus, age 69, of West, passed away early Wednesday morning, January 17, 2018 at her residence.

A rosary will be recited 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation to follow until 5:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 22, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Ed Karasek and Rev. Darrell Kostiha as celebrants. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Charlotte was born June 16, 1948 in Waco, the daughter of Starlin and Nancy Faye (Webb) Hurtt. She attended West schools and was a 1966 graduate of West High School. On August 22, 1970 she was united in marriage to Eddie Klaus in West. Eddie preceded her in death on April 3, 2015. Charlotte was the Medical Records Director for Parkview Regional Hospital for the past 17 years. Prior to that, she worked for West Community Hospital, Hillcrest Medical Center in Waco and Lake Whitney Medical Center. Charlotte was a very faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, where she and Eddie served as a team couple for Worldwide Marriage Encounters for seven years. She was involved in the CCE program at St. Mary's devoting many hours of service including drive thru stations, First Holy Communions and Confirmations. Charlotte enjoyed being outside at her pool, sewing and quilting. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially watching her grandchildren play sports. She also had a special love for her dogs, Faye and Nemo.

Charlotte is also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bobby Ray Hurtt.

Survivors include her children, Kimberley Foitek and husband Brian of West, Kayla Pechacek and husband Eric of Axtell, Kristel Reed and husband Robin of Arlington and Kyle Klaus and wife Lori of West; grandchildren, Addyson and Avery Foitek, Kylie and Eli Pechacek, Emily and Claire Reed and Kade and Kason Klaus; sisters-in-law, Mary Hurtt, Dorothy Sulak, Willie Rydel and Cindi Sulak; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Avery Foitek, Kade Klaus, Kason Klaus, Eli Pechacek, Fortino Reyes, James Hawkins, Gary Malone and Daniel Deiterman.
