She had lived most of her life in the Salina area except for about 15 years in Denver. She returned to Salina from Denver in 1971. Mrs. Hanson was a member of Sacred Heart Cathedral and the Cathedral Guild.
Survivors included the widower, Earl; two sons, Vaughn W. (Bill) Hanson and Daniel J. Hanson; two brothers, W. A. (Bill) and C. J. (Bud) Bachofer; five sisters, Mrs. Alex Burghart, Mrs. Clifford Boal, Mrs. Pauline Manns, Mrs. Jane Manns, and Mrs. Robert Karber; and 6 grandchildren. Her sister, Mrs. Grace Saindon, died the week before Mrs. Hanson's death.
