She and Andrew Bachofer were married April 20, 1838 in Eichen Switzerland. The family emigrated to the United States in about 1873.
Family records say they came through Cincinnati and St. Louis to Salina, Kansas. They bought a house and land in Saline County in 1880. The 1909 city directory shows Pauline living at 909 Johnstown Ave. in Salina with her son, Henry.
Her husband died December 25, 1902.
They were the parents of 13 children, 6 of which died in infancy. Surviving children were John, Joseph, Jake, Andrew J. Henry O., Mrs W M Abbott off Saline county and Mrs BPH Beckerwho lives near Kanopolis. Mrs Bachofer was a devout Catholic of the Salina church.
