TWO MORE PIONEERS GONE.

Summit County Loses William Bond and Edward Powell.

Coalville, May 25.-Two more veteran pioneers of Summit county passed into the great beyond yesterday, William Bond of Henefer, who came to this country in very early days. He crossed the plains with the handcarts, settled first at Provo, then Salt Lake, and finally, in 1862, in Hennefer, Summit county, where he lived till yesterday, when he was called home. He was in his 82d year, and a native of England.
Until his death he was a faithful Latter-day Saint, the father of a large and highly respected family, who, with a legion of friends, will mourn his loss.
Upton of this county, ten miles east of here, was called upon the same day to give up one of its aged citizens, Father Edward Powell. He was a pioneer and one of the founders of the thrifty little town where he lived and died. In very early days he, too, came to this country from Engand. A large family of sons and daughters, many of whom have large families, also survivie him. He came here as a Latter-day Saint, to which faith he was firm until death, which overtook him near the four-scour mark.
Thus are two pillars taken from our community, who, though far advanced in years, will be greatly missed, both having been stalwarts in building up and redeeming this mountain country, as well as staunch advocates of right and justice among their fellow men.
