MEETEETSE - Services for Mrs. Carrie Hazel Feyhl, 87, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Bishop Bill Linton will officiate with burial in the Meeteetse Cemetery.
Mrs. Feyhl died Saturday at the Powell Nursing Home after a long illness.
She was born on Jan. 20, 1891, in Oregon, the daughter of John W. and Angelinge Weeks Fuqua. The family moved to Wyoming when she was a small child and she attended the Sunshine School on Wood River near Meeteetse.
On April 9, 1909, she married Frederick J. Feyhl at Meeteetse.
She had lived most of her life in Meeteetse and in earlier years was a cook for lambing and shearing camps. Mrs. Feyhl enjoyed sewing and quilting and was an avid gardener.
Survivors are three sons, Robert and Clarence of Cody and Wayne of Casper; and four daughters, Mrs. Grayce Renner of Thermopolis, Mrs. Alice Todd of Meeteetse, Mrs. Rose Jones of Powell and Mrs. Ruth Westphal of Kalispell, Mont. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1974 and four sons, Lindy, Bud, Glen and Carl and one grandson.
The Ballard Funeral Home of Cody is in charge of arrangements.
